We’re desperately seeking tickets for Googa Mooga, so I’ve scoured the web at various foodie sites – it still amazes me the sheer amount of food lovers that are out there now, and the diversity is amazing. We noticed a post over on Googa Mooga’s FB page that one kind soul was having a contest for 2 tickets. We immediately jumped over to the site to enter & fell in love. He takes beautiful food photos that get your mouth-watering. Not only that, but it pointed us to yet ANOTHER food festival in NYC. AND we’ve entered to win some tix. It’s a good day, lol.

This lovely bit of food porn comes to you from the awesome cooking blog Smitten Kitchen. Combining three of my favorite food items and beautifully shot, it’s a perfect example of why I follow Deb’s blog religiously.

This sexy shot  is from Food Buzz. I’m always a sucker for photos with a really shallow depth of field. If they’re beautifully framed & focus on delicious, garden fresh pizza? Even better.

But we want to take some time this summer to try & get the word out about our tees. With that in mind, we’ll be attending a few different events to get our foodie t-shirts out in the world. The breast folks over at Tee Gazette are hosting the first annual Boston Tee Party – an all day event for indie t-shirt businesses like ourselves. It should be a great chance to meet each other, exchange ideas & feed off of each other. There will be bands, speakers & it’s open to the public as well. We encourage everyone to check it out. We also hope to attend the Hester Street Fair. We’ve gone several times to check it out, and it’s a great fair. We think our stuff might do really well there. We’re also looking at New Amsterdam Market, but don’t want to spread ourselves too thin. And then there’s the Noank Market… but more about that later.

So that’s a rough overview of the next few months. Try & get a bunch more shirts printed up, get out to some festivals, and of course, keep pushing the Twitterverse & FaceBook. We’re fresh, we’re hot & we’re coming your way.

A Food Porn Star, Out & About

It took longer than we had planned (finding the new printer took longer than we expected), but our new t-shirts, “Food Porn Star”, finally arrived via UPS the other day. We’re really pleased with the way they turned out, but we’re not happy with how long it took. It took almost a month from the time we approved the proof . That’s at LEAST a week too long. Ironically, in that time, it turns out another company bought our old printer (the company that folded). So we are in talks with them about possibly shifting over to them.

The saga continues, in other words.

There are advantages to the new company. First off, we’d be dealing with a local company again. We really like the idea of supporting local businesses. It saves us time, money & keeps things local. Also, their shirt inventory is much larger than the printer we had switched to. There are still a bunch of other questions – pricing, printing styles they have available, etc, but I’m cautiously optimistic.

But enough about printing woes. This is a picture of one of our favorite people, Denise, seen out wearing Food Porn Star. We love her to the ends of the earth & think she’s great –  bold, brassy & with great foodie attitude, just like the shirt she’s wearing!
